To begin with we would like to apologize for not being able to update our website off- late. We will endeavor to rectify this.

In the month of November RAH had organized a training program which was based on "Wound Care Management & Bereavement in palliative care". Around fifteen people participated in this program and to assist us we had from Australia, two volunteer trainers -Mrs. Penny Van Ast & Mrs. Rosslyn Nagel. This program was very well received with the participants eager to put their new skills into practice. Our sincere thanks to Penny and Rosslyn for their input and faithful support over many years.

December proved to be a very prestigious month as we had Mr. and Mrs. Bill & Joan Grosser visiting RAH from Australia. They have been a very important part of RAH from the time it was formed. It is because of their dedicated encouragement and futuristic vision that RAH has come such a long way. Their involvement and priceless experience has been and continues to be the success formula for RAH.

As the New Year begins we have a lot of activity assigned for the months that follow. RAH has set up health check-up camps for underprivileged people, providing free general health check-ups and important medicines to them. One of the adversely affected sites was Kanaipur, where the number of patients was the highest and the diseases they were affected by were most lethal. RAH catered to their needs as much as possible with medication and affirmation that they were in search of. We visited the homes of many affected and were shocked to see their misconceptions about the disease their family members were carrying. It is lack of education and awareness that is to blame for their misconceptions. They initially refused to listen to us but as RAH's trained personnel shared compassionately with them they eventually understood and agreed to cooperate with us. By the end of April we had a total of 48 patients under our care. In that month nineteen new patients registered showing us the trust they had in us. 9 patients died.

RAH didn't stop its work here. We have always kept good health and sound education as one of our priorities as this is the only way we can spread awareness as well as reduce different misconceptions.

We have been working with 3 villages which were completely below the poverty line. 25 students from these villages have received educational support from us. This is a further step in our contribution towards building a healthy nation!

Being a part of RAH, we have understood the importance of awareness and the adverse effects that ignorance can cause. We promise to help our patients in every possible way with full of assistance until the end of their life (or, until their demise). Our mission is to make every life worthwhile, bringing comfort, compassion, hope and peace to all we care for who have a terminal illness. "Care beyond Cure" is what we believe and practice!
